It started with a ceramic sign that stopped Debra in her tracks: to me. you're perfect.
She couldn't leave the sentiment behind — or the colors. Blues, lavenders, and whites have always spoken to her, and this piece felt personal from the start. Rather than displaying the sign as-is, she broke it apart, kept the heart of it, and turned the fragments into something entirely new.
The broken ceramic edges frame the central message, joined by pieces of shattered china plates that complete the border. Layered throughout are found treasures: colorful ceramic hearts, glass beads, a delicate wire-and-bead strand running across the top, a bejeweled bicycle pin perched at the lower right, and a jeweled hair clip that catches the light in the upper left corner. Every element was chosen with intention.
The result is equal parts love note and art piece — the kind that means something before you even know the story behind it.
